Children’s Ministry

Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it.” (Proverbs 22:6, NLT)

This proverb is not a promise because of course we cannot make anyone trust God. Teaching God’s revealed truth, helping them to practice it, and setting an example they want to follow by their parents, teachers, and church family helps them to discern God’s call for a lifelong relationship of joy with God through Jesus Christ and as part of the rest of his family, the church.

These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” (Deuteronomy 6:6–7, NIV) This suggests any and every time, place, and activity.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me” (Matt. 19:14) encourages us to not just hinder them from coming, but encouraging them to come by invitation and allowing the joy and love of Jesus be seen in adults inviting them.

St. Paul seeks to do this through weekly Sunday School at 9 a.m., Children’s Time during the main worship service at 10 a.m., and every Wednesday evening through our children’s ministry.  Currently, that time begins with a snack supper from 5:30-6p.m. followed by fun activities and learning through Seedbed Kids curriculum.
